The two main substances used for non-surgical rejuvenation are injectable muscle relaxants and injectable dermal fillers. These products can be used together or in isolation to treat facial wrinkles and lines depending on the area being treated and the severity of the wrinkle.

What Are Anti-Wrinkle Injections?

Anti-wrinkle injections are composed of a natural purified protein that is used to target and relax specific facial muscles. Once injected the substance blocks communication between the nerve and muscle causing the facial muscles to relax smoothing out lines and wrinkles.

What is Involved?

At New Age Cosmetics we offer full consultation and assessment prior to any treatment. If suitable for treatment a small amount of solution is injected into the selected facial muscles using a very fine needle. The procedure takes approximately 10 minutes and the discomfort is minimal and brief. After injection it takes around 3-7 days to notice the effect with the full results seen at 14 days.

What are Dermal Fillers?

Dermal fillers are made of a substance that is found naturally in the body, its main role to attract water and provide hydration to the skin. Dermal fillers are injected into the skin to restore volume or revolumise areas of the face, enhancing facial contours and restoring a natural and youthful appearance.

What is involved in treatment?

Dermal fillers are injected into the skin with a very fine needle with the procedure taking approximately 30 minutes. Prior to treatment a topical anaesthetic or dental block may be administered for increased comfort. The type and amount of dermal filler used will vary from person to person and depend on the area being treated. Results are seen immediately.
